Op-Amp Circuits: Simulations and Experiments   ISBN: 978-1-935422-15-0

Op-amp fundamentals with simulations and projects. Applications include power supply circuits, magnetometer circuits, geophone circuits, ELF/VLF receivers, photo-resistor opto-coupler applications (ACC, volume control, compressors, and tremolo). A basic knowledge of electric circuit analysis, semiconductor devices, and college level algebra are pre-requisites for this book. It may be used as a circuit design and application reference for hobbyists, experimenters, and students. It may also be used as a supplement to a college level operational amplifier course and laboratory.

AC and 3-Phase: Simulations and Experiments   ISBN: 978-1-935422-14-3

Low voltage 3-phase Simulation examples are presented which may be done using an LTspice, a simulation program available as a free download from Linear Technology. Experiments provided may be performed using a solder-less breadboard, inexpensive parts, oscilloscope, function generator, and a power supply.
All of the Three-phase experiments may be done with a 12 volt peak-to-peak, line to neutral, source capable of supplying up to 125mW per phase. This source may be easily built on a breadboard using the circuit provided in the appendix.

Electronic Control Systems: Simulations and Experiments   ISBN: 978-1-935422-13-6

This book may be used by any reader who wishes to learn by example and experiment. Simulation examples are presented which may be done using LTspice, a simulation program available as a free download from Linear Technology. Covers basic principles of open loop and feedback systems. Experiments provided may be performed using a solder-less breadboard, inexpensive parts, a small power supply, and a digital or USB oscilloscope. Some experiments also require a function generator.

Beginnings ISBN:  978-1-935422-04-4

Beginnings is a personal narrative about a boy growing up in the Czechoslovakian countryside during the German occupation, world war II, and the communist takeover. Escaping in 1948 by foot into free Germany, where he met his future wife who had also just escaped. He made two daring returns to Czechoslovakia to help his friends and future wife. He recounts over two years spent in refugee camps in Germany and Italy and the trip from Germany to the USA on a US Navy liberty ship. His story takes place during one of the most volatile periods in European and world history of the 20th century. He recounts personal losses to the Nazi regime and includes key historical events of the time. This is an exceptional personal story. Many pictures, maps, and diagrams are included.

RLC Selector See demo: RLC Selector Video

RLC Selector is a Windows 10 desktop tool for determining the best "standard value part" values to use for passive and active resonant circuits and filter circuits. It may be used independently and with other desktop applications, such as circuit simulation programs.

RLC Selector is a Microsoft "ClickOnce" application. "Because ClickOnce applications are isolated, installing or running a ClickOnce application cannot break existing applications. ClickOnce applications are self-contained; each ClickOnce application is installed to and run from a secure per-user, per-application cache."
