About ZAP Studio Electronics

ZAP Studio LLC is an independant publisher of several low cost lab books for electrical engineering and electrical engineering technology.  Experiments include 3-phase circuits for which a 3-phase voltage source is required.  In order to provide a safe low voltage source of 3-phase power in the laboratory, a simple 3-phase voltage source was designed which could be built by students on a breadboard.  This circuit was later built on a printed circuit board and it became the "Phase Tripler" circuit board.  This saves the students the time to build the circuit on a breadboard.  It is a portable 3-phase source used by schools and power companies for 3-phase training.

The Phase Tripler requires a function generator and a DC power supply to operate. ZAP Studio Electronics also supplies the 3PS-02, a 3-phase voltage source with an on-board synthesized 60Hz source.

ZAP Studio Electronics products are sold primarily to educational institutions.  The circuit boards are manufactured and assembled in Oregon, USA.  Due to the low sales volume, only a small stock is maintained, however orders of 6 boards or less can usually be shipped within 5 business days.

ZAP Studio Electronics also does custom education related publishing and products.
